The Redbird wraps a classic aluminum moka body in a glossy fire-red enamel coat, and the coat is not just for looks — it protects the exterior from the discoloration bare aluminum picks up over a gas flame. Inside, it brews exactly as a moka should: steam pressure from the base chamber drives water up through the grounds at around one to two bars, producing a small, concentrated cup with real body. Keep the flame small enough that it does not lick up the sides (that scorches enamel and overheats the brew), use a moka-fine grind, never tamp the basket, and pull it off at the first gurgle. The 3-cup size makes about 130 ml — one strong cup or the base for a fine homemade latte. Hand-wash, no soap needed.
