The Yamabiko treats the press pot as a precision instrument. Its double-wall steel body holds steep temperature stable, and its two-stage filtration — a fine primary mesh plus a secondary screen at the spout — catches the sediment that gives press coffee a muddy last sip, while still passing the oils that give it body. The lid seats with a quarter-turn lock so pouring is drip-free at any angle. Technique still matters: grind coarse and uniform, dose at 1:15, water at 195-200°F, steep four minutes. For a cleaner cup, do not plunge to the bottom — stop just below the surface and pour; the grounds stay settled instead of being stirred back up. Sized for two proper cups, built for years of them.
