Seiryū filters are made from a denser, more uniform paper stock than everyday cones, and the difference shows up in control. Because the paper's flow resistance is consistent sheet to sheet, the variable left in your brew is the one you actually want to adjust: the grind. Slightly slower drainage suits brewers who pour in stages and like a total brew time near the top of the three-to-three-and-a-half-minute window, extracting a little more sweetness from light roasts that give up their sugars reluctantly. The tall crimped seam resists blowouts under aggressive center pours. As with any paper filter, rinse before brewing to warm the cone and clear residual paper taste. Fits standard two-to-four-cup cone drippers. One hundred filters per pack.
