The Press-Shot makes real espresso anywhere you can boil water. Load about 14 g of finely ground coffee, fill with water just off the boil, and press the piston steadily — a firm, even push generates the 6-9 bar you need for proper extraction and a stable crema. Shots run best at a 1:2 ratio: 14 g in, roughly 28 g out, in 25-30 seconds of pressing. The whole unit breaks down to fit a daypack side pocket, and there is nothing electronic to fail. Trade-offs, stated plainly: no steam wand, temperature depends on your kettle, and your arm is the pump, so consistency takes a few sessions to develop. As a travel setup or a first step into espresso, it earns its counter space.
