One filter instead of a box a month. The Ever-Mesh is a single-layer stainless cone with a fine laser-cut weave and a rolled rim that holds its shape in a standard dripper or perched on a wide mug. Expect the classic metal-filter cup: fuller body and more texture than paper, because the oils and finest grounds come through instead of being trapped, plus a spoonful of sediment at the bottom. Use a slightly coarser grind than with paper to keep the brew from running muddy. Care is a rinse after each use and an occasional soak in hot water with unscented soap when oils start slowing the flow. Compared to the Miratsu Kanaami, the single wall makes it lighter and cheaper, with a bit less structural stiffness. Pays for itself inside two months.
