A grinder you can toss in a pack without wincing about the price. The Camper uses compact stainless conical burrs in a matte black body with a textured grip band, grinding a 20-gram dose — one solid mug — per fill. Stepped adjustment covers the medium-to-coarse range that travel brewing actually uses: pour-over at camp, press pot in a rental kitchen. Freshly ground coffee matters most away from home, because pre-ground goes stale in days once its surface area is exposed to oxygen; whole beans keep their aromatics until the moment you crank. The plastic outer shell keeps weight at roughly 250 grams and shrugs off drops that would dent a metal body. Slower and less refined than the Feinmahl 28 — and about a third the price.
