The Timberline is a cone dripper in thick glazed ceramic, and the thickness is the point: ceramic holds heat, so your brew water stays near the 195-205°F range where coffee extracts properly instead of cooling against a thin wall. Spiral ribs inside keep the paper filter from sealing flat, letting the bed drain evenly. Use a medium grind — about the texture of coarse sand — and a 1:15 to 1:17 coffee-to-water ratio; a full pour finishes in roughly three minutes. Preheat the cone with a splash of hot water first and it will pay you back in the cup. Fits standard cone filters, sits on most mugs and carafes, and cleans up with a rinse. Two sizes, one honest workhorse.

Preheats well and holds temperature better than the plastic cone it replaced. Clean, sweet cups every morning.
