Borosilicate glass does two useful things in a dripper: it shrugs off thermal shock when you pour boiling water into a cold cone, and it lets you watch the slurry, which is the fastest way to learn pour-over. Watch the bed — if water pools and drains slowly, grind coarser; if it races through in under two minutes, grind finer. The Rowanglass sits on a matching glass base that fits mugs and small carafes, and takes standard cone paper filters. Aim for a medium grind, water just off the boil, and 1:16 by weight — 25 g of coffee to 400 g of water is a solid two-cup starting point. Glass holds less heat than ceramic, so preheating matters more here. Rinse and it is clean.
